Main Dishes   Back to Top

Northern Italian Lasagna
Made with three Italian cheeses, sweet Italian sausage, lots of garlic and herbs and both a vibrant tomato sauce and creamy bechamel sauce.

Northern Italian Two Mushroom Lasagna
Made with three Italian cheeses, portabella and crimini mushrooms, lots of garlic and herbs and both a vibrant tomato sauce and creamy bechamel sauce.

The Uncommon 1 pound Burrito
Everything a burrito should be; a flour tortilla stuffed with black beans, onions, lots of garlic and Vermont cheddar cheese. These are available vegetarian or with turkey, delicious, served with sour cream and salsa, hot or mild.

Turkey Enchilada
Tortilla stuffed with roasted turkey, Monterey Jack, black beans and a touch of sour cream – smothered in our own smoky enchilada sauce and topped with Grafton’s two year aged cheddar.

Cheese Enchilada
Tortilla stuffed with Monterey Jack, Grafton’s two year aged cheddar cheese, black beans, green chilies, smothered in our smoky enchilada sauce and topped with Grafton’s two year aged cheddar cheese.  (Vegetarian)

Uncommon Salmon Cakes
Rough-chopped fresh salmon, celery, minced Manghi’s white bread, eggs, lemon, and a touch of mustard - sautéed in butter.

Uncommon Crab Cakes
Crab meat, celery, minced Manghi’s white bread, eggs, lemon, and a touch of mustard -sautéed in butter.

(A word about our salmon, crab and fish cakes; the way we like them is with the least amount of “other’ ingredients. Just enough bread crumbs and egg to hold them together, just enough seasoning to accentuate the fish… that’s what it’s all about right?)

Italian Meatloaf and Mashed
Our Italian meatloaf is made with sweet Italian sausage ground beef, herbs and parmesan cheese. We serve it with garlic mashed potatoes and mushroom gravy.

Uncommon Chicken Salad
Fresh chicken breast, celery and onions mixed with our tangy dressing with fresh lemon juice, and fresh thyme. Just the way it should be (try it with guacamole and chips, nice)

Side Dishes    Back to Top

Green Beans
Fresh whole green beans, barely blanched, tossed with salt and pepper, toasted walnuts, walnut oil and a sprinkling of red sweet peppers. Delicious hot or cold.

Mediterranean Pasta Salad
The best way to taste this seasons tomatoes (carefully sourced), black olives, basil, garlic, scallions and feta cheese… a true marriage of great flavors with bow tie pasta.

Garlic mashed potatoes
Have them with the meatloaf, order them by themselves, perfectly cooked, creamy garlic mashed potatoes.

Dolmas
What an inexpensive tasty way to get your meal going (or when it’s really hot to make a meal of). Imported stuffed grape leaves with rice and an enticing delicate spicing.

Spicy Peanut Noodles
A great lunch by itself or a perfect companion for grilled tuna or other Asian inspirations.

Baked Goods    Back to Top

Cookies
Always, always, always the cookies. We have found a brand of cookies that we bake and think are spectacular. Count on us for great chocolate chip and peanut butter cookies.

Muffins
Every morning, starting at 6:30 am you can find fresh homemade muffins (our mix and don’t bother asking, we don’t give out the recipe, hey you wouldn’t want to do it anyway, its way too much work ) Blueberry, raspberry, apple cinnamon, apple pecan, banana who knows what inspiration will hit next but we always have hot homemade muffins in the morning.

The Uncommon Chocolate Cake
An old fashioned soft, creamy, dense chocolate cake with silky chocolate frosting. You want a hit of chocolate, have a piece of cake. We will make this for your special occasion and our baker is agreeable to other special orders.

Bread Pudding
We don’t have it all the time but we have it at least once a week. If bread pudding brings to mind soggy bread cooked with eggs, please think again. Yes, we use eggs and stale bread (stale is critical) but we lift it onto another plane with craisens, white chocolate, raw sugar and raspberry sauce. Truly a comfort treat.
